Atlanta based video production company Aaramba and nonprofit Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia (HMHBGA for short) share a past of collaboration to create annual projects from tribute videos to branding videos. However, this time we were called upon to create something unique for HMHBGA: a documentary showcasing the organization’s history.

Work began almost immediately following the initial plans set by the directors of HMHBGA. Our creative team visualized the possible outcomes of the project, drawing up plans and scripts of our own. Once production began, we were privileged to interview four Presidents of HMHBGA, both past and present. With each of the speakers’ unique perspectives, the story of Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies revealed itself.

Moving into post production, we needed a way to quickly sift through the interview footage. Transcripts were created that amounted to several pages. We highlighted the most important parts that followed the story of HMHBGA the closest, then set to stitching together their story.

Due to our long history with HMHBGA, we already had a large amount of footage from past projects stored in our drives. This allowed us to repurpose some of the clips and incorporate the footage into this documentary, saving time and creating a similar feel between the documentary and previous videos.  Along with archival footage, we brought in new footage that included HMHBGA’s own collection of paperwork, photos, and even newspaper clippings.

Overall, the project was another great success shared with our friends at Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, and we look forward to partnering with them again in the near future.
